Introduction to the EMyth Approach

Your overview of the EMyth Approach: how we invite you to think about your business, your life, and the relationship between the two.

The aim of Our Approach is to forever change your business into one that not only truly works, but also gives you more freedom and possibility in your life.

Think of it as a set of guiding principles that help you develop your business, grow as a leader, and achieve the results you want to create. Michael Gerber began developing those principles in 1977 when he co-founded the Michael Thomas Corporation, the first business-coaching company in the world. Over the years, the EMyth principles have evolved based on our experiences with our clients, but this fundamental truth remains central: How you think about business is how you end up doing business.

If you want to change what you have, you have to change what you do; and if you want to change what you do, you have to change how you think. If something’s not working in your business, it’s likely you can find the source of the problem in your own perspective, beliefs, and attitudes about business, people, the world, and yourself. How you think is the basis for all of your choices, actions, and results.

The EMyth Approach, composed of seven key principles, helps you “see what you’re thinking” by shining a light on beliefs and attitudes that aren’t serving your highest priorities. That’s where you’ll find the freedom to make adjustments that produce real change. Like so many business owners before you, making these principles part of the way you do business will eventually bring you to a transformation in your business and your life.
